How it was measured

Methodology

Research status. This independent prototype uses a synthetic dataset representing a hypothetical sample of 2,000 adults who had planned a group holiday in the previous three years. No fieldwork was conducted, and the figures must not be cited as survey results. No Airbnb internal listing, booking, pricing, review or search data were used.

Survey-style figures. The 41% figure assumes one defined plan per hypothetical respondent. Conflict figures represent a multi-select question, so percentages can exceed 100%. Booking-delayer categories represent a single-choice question and total 100%. “11 days” is presented as a hypothetical median.

Destination scoring. The overall ranking covers all 24 destinations used in the guide. Overall-fit scores are the equal-weighted average of value, walkability, dining and activities. Category-fit cards use separate illustrative editorial weights to demonstrate how priorities could change by group profile. Mixed destination types and simplified weights mean these scores are directional examples, not travel advice or official Airbnb rankings.

Quiz scoring. Personality types, compatibility percentages and destination suggestions are entertainment features generated by simplified rules. A real campaign would require completed fieldwork, source URLs and dates, a defined destination universe, exact weights, tie handling, a questionnaire and a downloadable calculation workbook.
